LOCATION

When developing your description of your space mention the charm, spaciousness, anticipated noise-levels and surrounding neighborhood.

How many people can you accommodate and how? How much privacy and access to the shared spaces in the home will the resident have? Are their pets or plants they're expected to take care of?

Example Space + Description:
Malea Fabeaux's Revolutionary Healers Sanctuary

This second iteration of Replenish: Black Joy Healing Space is a Mutual Aid Sanctuary Pilot Project to mobilize the existing community resources we have to support the interdependent and well-resourced futures we deserve. The intent of listing this as a mutual aid effort that money is not a barrier to accessing rest and reprieve so please consider not asking for money in exchange for sanctuary. When we monetize access to care and support, we create barriers to healing and reinforce Capitalism.

So many crowdfunding sources exist out there. I added my fundraising campaign to IFundWomen.com for a more targeted donor base. Beware of the sites that include a clause which says you can't receive any of your donated funds if you haven't reached our campaign goal.

Urban Action Fund Rapid Response grants that don't require a 501(c)3 Non-profit status to receive funding. However, I received Resist.org's  Imagine & Build Grant covered a lot of the Wellness + Sustenance Package which did require a fiscal sponsor.

So many more grants exist...
